Why a woman's name for a men's shirting brand?

Men's shirting brands typically have Anglo-Saxon names, sometimes unrelated to who started the business. In this case, the brand is Erica's name. Often it's the female friend or partner who makes a man's shirt purchasing decisions, and so why not the woman's real name for the brand?

How did Erica Kochi get started?

Erica started making shirts for her husband out of her Berkeley, CA, backyard cottage in 2022. The shirts got compliments and she made more for friends, work eventually culminating in fabric trips to Japan, and this site. More About Erica Here

What are the shirts made of?

All shirts are made from 100% cotton. Most fabrics are sourced from Japanese mills known for exceptional weaving and printing.

How should I care for my shirt?

Machine wash cold. Hang dry or tumble dry low. Warm iron if needed. These shirts are designed to be worn and washed — not babied.

Do you make plain white or light-blue shirts?

No. The collection focuses on shirts with character, whether through print, texture, or color. They’re designed to integrate into an everyday wardrobe, but they’re never generic.

What is your return policy?

Unworn standard-size shirts may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Because fabrics are produced in limited quantities, we encourage reviewing the product details and size guidance carefully before purchasing.

Where are the shirts designed and made?

Erica Kochi designs these shirts in California using carefully selected Japanese fabrics. Produced in small batches.

Will sold-out fabrics return?

Usually not. Many fabrics are sourced in very limited quantities, and once a design sells out, it’s unlikely to return.

How can I get early access to new designs?

How often do you release new fabrics?

Regularly, in small drops. Quantities are limited.
